Heaven

Walking alone,
Tired and fed up on herself,
She felt hopeless,
On her way back home,
She found chaos everywhere,
Not only around her,
But also in her mind.

Shouting with excitement that her mama is home,
Her little daughter opened the door when she rang the bell,
Seeing her mama all exhausted,
And offering to give a head massage with her little fingers,
The daughter smiled pouring out all her love and care,
And she found her little piece of heaven,
On her daughter's lap.

The Attention..

While fluttering around,
Beautiful with vibrant colored wings,
I captured your attention,
And I saw that you were totally in awe of my beauty!
Where is your attention?
Is it on my wings?
I'm not just that,
Those wings are the signs of my success,
From hardship and darkness,
And I'm proud of them.
But, I'm more than that.
Once I was a caterpillar,
Just like any other worms I used to crawl,
To fill my belly,
And I ate,
I ate so much that one day I couldn't move.

I was not able to take a single step and I lost my appetite,
No one cared about me,
So, I found shelter in darkness,
Left alone to die, I covered myself so that no one could ever see me.
I spent several days in despair with no light in my life,
But, that was not the end,
I transformed that I could no longer stay in the cage,
That I made myself for me.
Now, I'm free, I'm humble and I'm strong,
Not just beautiful,
So, where is your attention?
Is it on my wings?

Hunger

Sitting in my comfortable couch,
Trying to get a solution for my boredom,
I changed channels from one to another,
That's when,I heard shrieking from men and women,
From a land far away.
Carrying there children in their hands,
They are rushing to get all the help they can have,
Those children have deep hollow eyes,
And with just skin and bones,
We can count the ribs that they have got.

While the governments are busy to show off their political strength and power,
Parents are selling children to satiate their hunger,
They go door to door to ask if anyone needs a child,
So that they can find some money to feed another child.
Mothers are helpless
Fathers are hopeless,
Public is clueless,
Governments show no remorse as if they are guiltless,
And me, writing a poem on it is pointless!
Unless,
We satisfy those hungry eyes and stomach with love and food regardless,
Of age, caste, creed, color, nationality, religion or sex.

In Your Eyes…

In your eyes, I saw my life,
Blossoming like a fragrant flower,
With all its beauty and elegance,
Like a queen with all her grace.
In your eyes, I saw that flame,
Which burnt my eyes to find a way to the heart,
The light which brightened my soul,
The fire which engulfed me whole.
In your eyes, I saw lyrics of a beautiful song,
Bringing rain to a deserted heart,
A melody, so divine soothing my body and mind,
The music which unknotted emotions of all kind.
In your eyes, I saw myself,
With well guarded walls, protecting myself from another hurt,
Scarred and bruised from old deep wounds,
Standing tall with my perfect imperfections.

The Night

When the night falls,
Sun leaves you and the darkness starts to fill your eyeballs,
When you stumble on every rock on your way,
All alone on a road in a land far far away,
When all you can hear are the screams of stillness,
And you find signs of increasing frailness,
Open your eyes and look in the sky,
As the moon and stars are not saying you goodbye,
Feel the ground,
And walk as if you own the land,
Listen to the sound of wind in the trees,
The music of the rustling leaves,
Settle your nerves,
Because you are a part of this powerful universe.

The Kite

It was so wonderful to have you in my hands,
That I jumped in excitement like a kid,
I hugged and praised all your colourful features,
And my heart swelled with pride because I knew that you belonged to me.
When the wind came, you started to flutter,
And I knew that you wanted to fly high in the sky,
So, I carefully chose the string to tie it with you,
Then ran towards the highest peak that I ever knew.

I looked for the wind directions to help you with your flight,
And slowly detached myself from you for your wish to come true,
When I saw your happiness I had to cut the string that attached you with me,
To let you go,to see you roam freely.
But, when the wind settles and you find that there is not even a breeze,
To keep you motivated with your flight,
Find your way back home,
And I will be waiting with the perfect string to launch you back in the sky.

Beauty! Where is it?

With a flawless skin which has no sign of aging,
And dark long hair which can be really engaging,
Deep blue eyes which has an ocean inside,
Anyone would love to dive in without knowing what is inside,
She has a perfect smile that can lit up the sky,
But with a dark heart reflecting all the evils under the sky.

Other one is an epitome of ugliness that's how the world see,
With no facial features or perfect teeth,
People love to swipe quickly as her picture comes on screen,
But her acts of kindnesses are always honoured behind the screen.
Her eyes are doves symbolizing peace and love,
And hands so warm that can calm any storm with a touch or a hug,
She is a free spirit woman who you can never tame,
So, if I want to define beauty what it would be?

Under The Moonlight

Yesterday, while walking back from work I was able to capture this beautiful sight on my phone. What a sight!

The light of the Moon reminds us that when we share the light of others, we shine in our own unique way.

Suzy Davies

There was something about the moon. The way it reminded me of the hope I sometimes clung to. A sliver of light in all that darkness.

Michelle Chamberland

Perhaps everything can be solved by a walk in moonlight.

Marty Rubin

I slept under the moonlight and set my soul free, caged within jars like fireflies.
