Angel In Disguiseđź‘Ľ

If you look really closely, you will find a lot of angels around you. Don’t believe me? It may be because they always come in front of us in disguise. Yes…. Angels in disguise.

In my life, I have met several angels who were there to protect me or help me when I was in trouble. I’m just going to share one of the experiences I had when I was a school girl.

Several years ago, I think I was in eighth standard, I met an angel as an autorickshaw driver. It was the time that we had just moved to our native place from a different state. So, it was a time of lot of changes. New place, new environment, new school and new friends. You know how difficult it is when you are in high school and everything is new to you.

One day, I was taking bus to my school and I took the wrong one. After sometime when I realized my mistake, I asked the bus conductor whether that bus goes to the place where my school is situated. And the answer was obviously no. He asked me to get down from the bus at a place from where I could get another one. I waited there for sometime but there was no bus. It was almost time for my school and I got scared. I didn’t know where I was and at that time we didn’t have any mobile phones. I had no idea what to do.

Then, I saw a autorickshaw driver. I asked him whether he can drop me to my school. He smiled at me and then said to sit down in the autorickshaw. After fifteen or twenty minutes we reached the school. I could see that I was late and school had already started. I asked the rickshaw driver how much I had to pay. He said an amount which I can’t remember now but I didn’t have that with me when I checked my bag. I looked at him and said that I study in 8th standard. I asked him whether he can wait for sometime so that I could go and ask my classmates whether they had got the money as I didn’t have that much with me. He again gave me a smile and said, “Don’t worry about it. Go to the class.” He didn’t take a single paise from me. I almost cried and said thank you from my heart.

That’s, one of my angels in disguise and I will never forget his kindness in my life.

A Regret In My Life…

Have you ever had an incident in your life which has affected you a lot later? Something, which is still fresh in your mind even if it had happened a long time ago. A face that you cannot forget.

I have a story to tell you which has been haunting me since several years. I still remember the day when I was going to church with my mother and my little brother. I think I was twelve or thirteen years old. While walking, I saw a middle aged man, walking towards us. From a distance itself I had a feeling of uneasiness. When he came nearer I gave him a glance and I took my mother’s hand to hold in shock.

You must be thinking that he might have done something. Then, you are wrong. In this story, I’m the villainess. My behavior was totally based on his physical feature, his facial disfigurement. It was like he didn’t have a nose or mouth and those organs were all joined together to appear like a big mass on his face. I had never seen anyone like that before. The way I reacted after I saw him was so rude and unkind that he quickly walked past us bowing his head. But before he did that I saw disappointment and sadness on his face.

That night, I couldn’t sleep because I got scared of him. It didn’t occur to me at that time that I’m the one who had hurt him. Only thing that bothered me was his face. It took a few years and a nursing degree course to make me realize what was the cause for his disfigured face. What I did was so wrong even though it was unintentional.

I still remember his face but the feelings are not the same. Regret has taken the place of fear. That was the first and the last time I saw him. I never got the chance to say sorry to him in person.This post is a confession and I would like to take this chance to say, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I was so ignorant and unkind that I behaved like that. I’m sorry that I judged you based on your face without knowing you in person. I’m sorry that I hurt your feelings when I looked away because I wanted to avoid you. I’m deeply sorry for what I have done.” So if you read this, I hope that you do, please take it as an apology from my heart.

A Day In The Museum..

It felt good to spend a rainy day in the museum yesterday. The British Museum, London is one of the best museums in the world. Being in that place makes us feel how truly blessed we are as human beings when it comes to evolution, intelligence and talent.

British Museum is really huge and it may take a day to actually go through each and everything kept there. It’s good for children because my daughter enjoyed seeing antique clocks, treasure chest and sculptures.

I’m just going to share a few of the pictures that I took yesterday. Hope you will enjoy it.

Clouds have always been an attraction to my eyes. As a child, I used to look up the sky and tried to identify the shapes that the clouds form. To be honest, I still do it. You may think it’s silly but I can’t help it . Sheep, cows, fish, Jesus and fairies are just few examples that I have found. All the above images are taken on my phone on different days and times. Oh yes! I love to collect those pictures too.

Farm Day, Fun Day

When the schools are closed for summer vacation, then it’s the time to explore new places. As I come from a part of the world where we can find a mini farm in most of the houses, I was missing animals in my life. My daughter is an animal lover. “Mama, can I keep that cat?” “Mama, how about a dog?” “Oh! I love rabbits. They are so cute.” “Mama, can we keep chicks or ducks as pets.” These are just some of the examples that she asks about keeping a pet at home. So, we decided to go to a farm today.

The place is so beautiful and serene. A wonderful place for children as well as adults. My daughter loved feeding animals there. Another attraction for her was to find the fairies and their houses. The walk and the nature itself helped me to relax and calm my mind.

Sheeps came running as soon as they saw us. They knew we had their food and I had an excited kid beside me.

Those hens reminded me of my childhood. I had hens, Blacky and Browny when I was a kid. I still remember the day they died one after another because of some flu. My mom told the news when I came back from school. I did cry a lot on that day.

Ducks were hungry so as the goose. So, the goose decided to peck them all to have some food.

While, other geese were enjoying a lazy day.

Turkeys were into some show off mood today, I guess. To be honest, my daughter got afraid of them.

I loved these two and it was so much fun watching and especially feeding them. They are so adorable.

Those piglets reminded my daughter of her favorite character, Peppa Pig. They do love muddy puddles!!

In short, it was an absolute fun day!!

Pandora’s Box

Did you find the key I have lost?
As I really need it the most.
I always made sure to triple lock my doors,
And I found myself safe behind my guarded walls.
Wise men say that curiosity kills the cat,
It was just supposed to be a small talk infact,
The key was handed to me as a gift,
And I opened the Pandora's box in swift.
It's been several years that I'm trying to close the box,
But it outsmarts me like a clever fox,

The Panic Attack

She was a lady who knew what she wanted,

And only called nurses when she only doubted,

That she can do an activity by herself,

Or when she thought that can’t talk anymore to self.

One day, she pressed the callbell,

When the nurse saw her, she was panicking like hell,

“Worried about something?” the nurse wanted to know,

“Please tell me what’s the matter and don’t tell me no.”

She said, “I wasn’t afraid but I have started to fear the death”,

Reassuring her not to worry, the nurse asked, “what made you think about the death?”

“I don’t know, may be I’m just alone in this room. Can you stay here for a minute and talk to me?”,she said

“Why not”, the nurse answered.

A few days passed and she went unconscious,

Her loved ones came as she was on her way to heavens,

When she took her final breath, the same nurse was on duty,

And she saw her lying still with all her beauty.

While giving the last care all the conversations came alive,

Was it panic attack or did she know that she won’t survive?

A Fairy Tale

A girl who loved the light,
Sitting all alone in the night,
Had been waiting for her knight,
As she was too kind to take a fight.
When the darkness surrounded her,
She found out that the knight only wanted to be a heir,
The promise he made was just a cold word,
As he wished to fly away like a migrating bird.
A girl who loved the light,
Started to look for a new site,
Where she could be herself without a fright,



So, she travelled a long way to see the light.
She kept herself busy in her new place,
Helping others and making a living for her own space,
It occurred to her that she had to be both humble and bold,
That's when she found the light right next to her sword.
Her journey didn't stop in finding her spark,
She knew there are others who lived in the dark,
The girl who loved the light?
Tale is that she became the knight of light.
