In a golden cage
Little hummingbird
Lived
With clipped wings
And fettered by its owner
Voiceless
Hopeless
Until she saw him
Fluttering around the cage
Trying to break the chains
Sharing the nectar
A beautiful reminder
Of love, hope and life.
