When the going gets tough – Part 2

As I told you in my last blog, I did a deep thinking on what people do to acquire the strong mind. I’m not going to lie but I did some reading and research too. So, I’m going to explain you some methods that people take to keep going through the storms in their lives. Don’t be surprised, if some of them are your ones.

First of all, they make sure they try to find happiness in little things. It’s not easy when you find that everything is falling down. We may get depressed, have sleepless nights or may be angry and irritable most of the times which makes things worse. So, to live in the moment is the best option. Be happy for simple things in your life. Be grateful that you are still alive and breathing.

Secondly, they make set of goals for each day. Long term goals would be an exaggeration at this point of life, and thus, it would be better that we live each day and make sure that we achieve the goal set for the day. It will give us positivity and a sense of achievement. As a result, it builds our confidence which is essential to get through this stage of life.

Next, is to make time for your hobbies or develop one if you don’t have any. This will help in physical, emotional and mental health. Read a book, listen to music, draw a picture, do some gardening or go for a walk or hike. Do whatever you like but make sure that you just don’t sit there wasting your time thinking about unnecessary things. Utilize the time by doing your hobbies as it will engage our mind and hinder us from overthinking.

Last but not the least, have faith and belief. Believe in yourself and your instincts. Have faith in almighty and trust that everything is going to be just fine. Believe that “this too, shall pass”.

To conclude, I think it’s how “when the going gets tough, the tough get going” is done. By taking holistic measures for the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being.

So, what will you do in difficult situations to make you get going? I would love to have some insights on this.

  1. Really good tips. I definitely agree with all these points. I’m working on the goal setting, but having a hobby you love and take time for and gratitude for the little things really help in my daily life. It’s a healthy balance for all the areas in your life.
