In this modern world, to have a good night’s sleep is a bliss. Our lifestyle has changed a lot since the globalization and the advent of new technologies. We tend to spend most of our time either on job, social life or on social media. All the above things have their own advantages, but do they really outweigh the importance of meeting our basic needs such as rest and sleep?
We usually neglect the significance of having a good sleep because we consider that other things such as career, night parties, computer games and social websites are important for a successful and happy life. Stress is also an another factor which has induced less sleep in many of us. After some years of sleepless nights, we start to suffer from a condition called insomnia which not only affects our physical but also mental health. So the question is, are they all worth it?
It’s not that we don’t no the benefits of sleep which has been scientifically proven. It’s just that it’s one of the things which we can easily neglect. I think that the attitude towards our life and time management are the keys which can help us to lead a healthy and happy lives holistically.
In conclusion, sleep should be an essential part in our lives because it helps us to rejuvenate. As Mahatma Gandhi said, ” Each night, when I go to sleep, I die. And the next morning, when I wake up, I am reborn.” Let’s take a rebirth everyday leaving behind all our anxieties and worries. Let’s start a fresh day with a healthy body and mind.
Do you think that you are getting enough sleep? What measures will you take to get proper rest and sleep?

I think sleep is one part of the puzzle. Some nights, I can get a lot of sleep but not enough water or vitamins. Even stress is draining. But sleep plays a big part in training the mind to reset and relax.
